Stop Motion Studio for iOS

Watch and Share Your Movie

Select an Export Type

Stop Motion Studio supports a wide range of export options.

  • Movie: You can export your animation as a video file. Video formats are commonly used for sharing video files on social media, video-sharing platforms, or editing in other video editing software. You can export your video file in either MP4 or MOV format. MP4 is a highly compatible format supported by most devices, video players, and streaming platforms. MOV is a native format for macOS and is well-suited for Apple devices and software. When choosing between H.264 and H.265 (HEVC), consider the following: Select H.264 for broad compatibility and general-purpose use, while H.265 is preferred for scenarios where efficient compression and reduced file sizes are critical, as long as you confirm compatibility with your intended playback devices and software.

  • Project: Choose this option if you want to save, export, or backup your project for further editing. A project can be transferred to another device to continue work on.

  • GIF: Stop Motion Studio allows you to export your animation as a GIF (Graphics Interchange Format). GIFs are widely used for creating short, looping animations that can be easily shared online.

  • Image Sequence: You also have the option to export your animation as a sequence of individual image frames. This is useful if you want to further edit or process your animation in other software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects.

  • Flip Book: Export and print each image to create a flip book. Each page typically contains a slightly different image, so as you flip through them quickly, it gives the impression of a continuous and fluid motion.

  • Sticker: Export your animation as a sticker to use in iMessage.

Please note that the availability of these export options may vary depending on the specific version and platform you are using.
